BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Saudi Arabia's National Water Co. has signed memoranda of understanding and of partnership with the French water and waste management firm Veolia and with Arabian Company for Water and Power Development, or ACWA Power, in order to set up a company for the transport, and marketing of treated sewage water in Riyadh, Jeddah-based Okaz daily reports Tuesday.
Under these agreements the new company will receive assistance in the management of demand for water involving the use of treated wastewater in the industrial, agricultural, and commercial sectors, the paper reports citing Loay Al Musallam, National Water's chief executive.
