Abu Dhabi: Al Jazira have confirmed the signing of 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder Jucilei da Silva from Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala on Monday.
His arrival has led to the the departure of Brazilian striker Ricardo Oliveira, while Paraguayan striker Nelson Valdez is also expected to leave in order to make room for 25-year-old Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo from Russia’s Lokomotiv Moscow.
The Abu Dhabi club are expected to retain Moroccan midfielder Abdul Aziz Barrada and South Korean defender Shin Hyung-min among their foreign quartet.
Elsewhere, Al Wasl have confirmed the signings of 31-year-old Turkish defender Yalcin Ayhan from Turkish Super League side Kasimpasa and 30-year-old Argentinian midfielder Emmanuel Culio from Spain’s Deportivo La Coruna. Al Wasl have also recalled 27-year-old Chilean midfielder Edson Puch from a loan spell at Chile’s Deportes Iquique. Puch has acquired Palestinian citizenship in order to take the club’s Asian player allocation.
These additions will lead to the expected departures of Argentinian midfielder Mariano Donda, Australian defender Milan Susak and Moroccan defender Abdul Fettah Boukhriss. Senegalese striker Andre Senghor is expected to remain, while Brazilian forward Kaio Felipe Goncalves is free to leave on loan.
Meanwhile, Al Shabab have signed 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder Eder Luiz Lima De Sousa from Boa Esporte and switched his citizenship to Palestinian ready for him to replace injured Uzbek midfielder Azizbek Haydarov.
Brazilian forwards Adeilson Pereira De Mello and Edgar Bruno Da Silva remain, as does Chilean midfielder Carlos Villanueva.
