BAGHDAD - Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Kusrat Rasool met on Wednesday with Adel Abdul- Mahdi, a leader in the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq and the delegation accompanying him, and discussed the current political situation in Iraq.
The Web site of the Union said that the two sides discussed during the meeting, in the presence of member of the Leadership Council of the Federation Khosrow Cole Mohammed, the current political situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan region and the elections that took place on last April 30.
The Deputy Secretary- General of the Federation confirmed that all political parties should determine appropriate solutions for dialogue and negotiation, taking into account the interests of the components of the Iraqi, and all parties should put the serve of the citizens in front of their parties interests.
He noted that it is not permitted that these files be a victim of the conflict between the political parties.
For his part , Adel Abdul Mahdi congratulated Deputy Secretary -General and all members and supporters of the National Federation for the victory that the National Union achieved in the April 30 elections, noting that "the National Union, by this victory restored its historical and political situation in the Iraqi and Kurdistan arenas.
