QIMC's proposed tower is expected to have a distinctive label on the Doha Corniche
Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) has signed a contract with Hill International Company to manage the design stage of its tower project to be built at an estimated cost of QR500mn. The proposed tower on the Corniche Road will replace its present headquarters, a QIMC spokesman said in a communiqué to the Qatar Exchange. "Under this contract, we will start the design phase and secure the required permits to build a multi-purposes tower of 25 to 30 floors on the current building land," according to al-Ansari.
This tower will have a distinctive label on the Doha Corniche and this contract will initiate for further future co-operation between QIMC and Hill International in both real estate investment and industrial projects for the company, he said. "We will use our international experience and our local know-how to complete the design and licensing phases optimally and within the agreed deadlines," al-Rayes said. QIMC, established in 1990 and listed in the Qatar Exchange, is a leading manufacturing company in the small and medium size industries sector in Qatar. Its activities also cover the rest of the Gulf Co-operation Council region.
The company contributes currently in 15 existing industrial projects, which include petrochemicals, chemicals, building materials and food, in addition to a number of other projects in collaboration with local and international organisations.
