KUWAIT: At a special event for the public held at Avenues Mall in Kuwait between March 15 to 17 March, Qatar Airways gave Kuwaiti shoppers the exclusive opportunity to sample the unrivalled five-star luxury and comfort of the new Boeing 777 Business Class seat and service.

Thousands of customers at one of Kuwait's leading malls enjoyed the live demonstration of the seat's innovative design on the Qatar Airways stand throughout the three-day event, as the global airline offered world beating Business Class travel experience to visitors. With an exceptionally wide seat pitch, fully flat bed and state of the art Oryx entertainment system (with over 1,000 entertainment options-movies, television, video games, and music), the Qatar Airways 777 Business Class seat has one of the highest specifications for business class travel of any airline. Stand visitors were able to experience for themselves the rest and relaxation available to passengers on long haul routes serviced by the aircraft, and recuperate in style from a busy day of shopping.

Qatar Airways Country Manager - Kuwait, Mohammed Yusuf Al-Jumairi, said the airline's public presence in Kuwait, with such an exciting and interactive stand offered people a unique glimpse of the world-class experience passengers can expect onboard Qatar Airways: "Qatar Airways has built a world-class reputation and award winning service based on the levels of luxury and comfort we offer.

It is a completely unrivalled flying experience and one that must be sampled to be believed. The feedback on the stand from those members of the public that enjoyed the live demonstration and tried out our new seating was hugely positive." Sales staff from Qatar Airways were also on hand to introduce other benefits of flying Business Class, including the five star service both on board the 777 and in the Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport. Services at the Premium Terminal, specially designed to accommodate the demands of seasoned and frequent business travellers, include comfortable and tranquil seating areas, superbly equipped business services, ultimate high-class duty free shops, congenial bars, and fabulous fine dining from haute cuisine to delicious snacks.

Qatar Airways' service to Kuwait started in 1994 , and has grown to eight flights daily between Kuwait and Doha, offering Kuwaiti travelers access to the worldwide network of destinations offered by the airline including key destinations such as New York, Washington, Houston, Bangkok, Singapore, London, Manila, Melbourne and Tokyo. Qatar Airways flights to Najaf, Iraq, also an important destination for Kuwaiti travelers, commenced January 23Id, with four flights weekly.

One of the world's fastest growing airlines, Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 15 years of operations, currently flying a modern fleet of 121 aircraft - including 25 Boeing 777s to 125 key business and leisure destinations worldwide. Since the beginning of 2012, Qatar Airways has launched flights to 14 new destinations - Baku (Azerbaijan); Tbilisi (Georgia); Kigali (Rwanda); Zagreb (Croatia), Erbil (Iraq), Baghdad (Iraq), Perth (Australia), Kilimanjaro (Tanzania); Yangon (Myanmar), Maputo (Mozambique), Belgrade (Serbia), Warsaw (Poland), Gassim (Saudi Arabia), Najaf (Iraq) and Phnom Penh (Cambodia). Over the next few months, Qatar Airways will launch services to a diverse portfolio of new routes, including Chengdu, China (launching soon); Chicago, USA (April 10); and Salalah, Oman (May 22).
