DOHA: The biggest names in the regional and international entertainment industries will ride in style in Lexus and Toyota vehicles while staying in Qatar for the Doha Cultural Festival 2004, following an agreement inked yesterday between the National Council for Culture, Arts and Heritage (NCCAH) and Abdullah Abdulghani and Bros Co.(AAB).
 
Under the deal, AAB will provide NCCAH with a fleet of 150 assorted Lexus and Toyota vehicles, including luxury cars and buses for transporting these stars, entertainers, performers and accompanying troupes and officials. On behalf of AAB, Dr Abdullah Al Dorani, the general manager, signed the agreement while the NCCAH was represented by Mohammad bin Hamad Alnaser, its vice president. The event was attended by Sushil Sindhkar, AAB’s marketing division manager and Hussain Nairouz Abdulla, a senior official at the NCCAH.

Speaking to the media, Dr Abdulla said, vehicles that will be provided by AAB for the festival will include the Lexus LS-430 and ES-300 models as well as Toyota’s Camry, Avalon, Coaster and Hiace. “The Doha Cultural Festival is one of the most prestigious events in our country which showcases the best of international talents on a common platform and we are delighted to be sponsoring this event. The festival has grown in magnitude over the years and now attracts a large audience from neighbouring countries. It also provides the people of this country a chance to have a glimpse of other cultures since leading personalities will offer their best performances here,” he added.
