Rabat, Apr 01st, 2010 (WAM) -- Grief and sorrow cast its shadow over Oum Azza, a neighbourhood near Rabat, where Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan died in an agonising accident.
The voice of those who recited Holy Quran in prayer for the soul of the deceased can be heard from the households. No other sound disturbed the spiritual silence. The Moroccans held their tears and said: "All of us mourn the death of Sheikh Ahmed. We have lost one of our family members". Desperately fighting her tears Fatima, a lady in the neighbourhood, raised her hands to the heavens in supplication and whispered: "He was a martyr and will join the martyrs in the eternal paradise". Ali, a villager, broke down in tears as the Emirates News Agency (WAM) asked him about his feelings. "He used to visit the homes in this village; he visited the poor and the rich. Sometimes he used to have his lunch with any one of us along with the family members. We were happy to see his smiling face around. Our hearts are filled with grief and pain when we realise that he is no more". "The Late Sheikh Ahmed was a true friend and a brother of the Moroccans", Hammadi abruptly stopped without being able to talk.In Oum Azza, every one talked about the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with fondness. Their words bore the testimony of the true fraternal love Sheikh Ahmed always carried in his heart for the Moroccans.
