DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Egypt's Orascom Construction Industries, or OCI, said Wednesday its Saudi subsidiary had been awarded a contract worth $450 million to carry out infrastructure works in the kingdom.
Orascom Saudi Ltd.'s contract covers civil, mechanical and electrical works including 1.4 million cubic meters of excavation, 2.1 million square meters of roads, walkways, and supply and installation of 146 kilometers of piping for story water, waste and potable water systems among other works, OCI said in an emailed statement.
OCI didn't say who the client is on the contract nor where in Saudi Arabia the works will be carried out.
OCI's shares were last trading up 0.06% at EGP274.50 on the Egypt Exchange.
