Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) signed yesterday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Frequency Agency (NFA) of the Republic of Tunisia, to develop a joint cooperation between them and benefit from the Omani expertise in the field of spectrum management.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Hamad bin Salim Al-Rawahi, CEO of the TRA and Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rajabi, NFA Director General.

The MoU included the most prominent areas of cooperation in the field of frequency spectrum management and exchange of expertise in the field of developing professional skills, in addition to benefiting from the expertise of the TRA in the field of spectrum monitoring systems to solve interference problems and the advanced automated system for spectrum management.

Meanwhile, the Tunisian delegation visited the Satellite Radio Observation Station for space services, which is the first in the Middle East. During the visit, members of the delegation viewed the technical capabilities of this station.
