Abu Dhabi, 24 October, 2010 (WAM) Mubadala today announced their title sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi World Tennis Championship a premier event on the international tennis calendar produced by FLASH Entertainment.
The Mubadala World Tennis Championship, formerly the Capitala World Tennis Championship, brings together six of the worlds top mens players in a three day competition held at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex at Zayed Sports City. Mubadalas commitment to the Championship also includes the Mubadala Community Cup and Mubadala Tennis in Schools. These community initiatives, held during the build-up to the championship, have been established to cultivate greater involvement in the game across all age groups by investing in the sports infrastructure and providing expert coaching at the grassroots level. Twenty-five English and Arabic schools from across Abu Dhabi and Dubai will each receive free tennis equipment and instruction from professional coaches between now and the end of the year. The most promising players will be selected to play in exhibition games at Zayed Sports Citys Center Court during the Championships intervals. The Mubadala Community Cup will pit amateur tennis players from across the UAE against each other. Contenders from five age groups will compete for a chance to take part in a tennis clinic with one of the Championships six players.
