ASILAH, Morocco, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- Head of the Asilah International Cultural Festival Muhammad Bin Eissa applauded Saturday Kuwait's support of the annual festival and of the city of Asilah which organizes it.

Kuwait overall gives a lot of support to infrastructure projects in Morocco in addition to cultural events in the kingdom, Bin Eissa, who is Morocco's foreign minister, told KUNA.

In Asilah, Kuwait has taken part in the expansion of Al-Madina Hospital and has built from scratch an old-folks home for the aged and infirm, he said.

Kuwait's help has extended far beyond the city of Asilah to embrace numerous other Moroccan cities and townships, he said.

Among those extending support to the Asilah Festival, he added, has been the generous offerings of the Kuwait Fund for Economic Development.

Bin Eissa appreciated the increasingly close ties both his country and Kuwait have been having and considered that a true manifestation of the willingness of both nations to work together in vital fields not excluding tourism, real estate, and culture.
