DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Investment bank Morgan Stanley (MS) on Tuesday named Kamal Jabre as its new chief executive and chairman for its Middle East and North Africa regional operations, replacing Habib Achkar.
Jabre has been at Morgan Stanley for 20 years and is one of its senior M&A bankers. He has worked with several regional state conglomerates and banks such as Dubai Holding, Dubai World, Emirates NBD and Qatar Holding, according to an emailed statement.
His predecessor Habib Achkar, who took the helm of Morgan Stanley's Mideast operations two years ago, will return to Europe in a new role in the bank's relationship management group.
