Abu Dhabi, Jan 17th, 2006 (WAM) - In its continuous effort toimplement the strategic e-Government project, the Ministry ofFinance and Industry launched recently its electronic portalwhich aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of itsservices and information provided to its stakeholders.
"We aim through launching the MOFI e-Portal and link it withthe UAE federal government general e-Portal to enhance the effectivenessand efficiency of the services and information we provide toour stakeholders," said Dr. Mohammed Khalfan bin Khirbash, Ministerof State for Finance and Industry, according to a press statementissued today. Dr. Khirbash noted that the e-Portal is an integrated windowof information about MOFI's projects and services allowing stakeholdersto conduct their business with the Ministry with flexibilityand efficiency. The portal, www.mofi.gov.ae, contains a wide range of informationabout MOFI's projects and information and its financial servicessuch as the performance based budgeting. Information and servicesof total quality management, financial system of the government,e-Dirham, executive training, and federal government servicesfees, and information about the industrial sector is also included. Other services that were launched with this portal are electronichousing system and intellectual property rights applications.The portal contains also the latest news of the ministry andhas links to relevant international organizations such as theInternational Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and several otherorganizations.
