Doha - Companies and organisations in Qatar are to be offered a masterclass in how to protect their IT systems and information assets using ISO 27001, the global best practice information security standard.
ISO 27001 compliance is a growing priority for IT and business leaders around the world and MicroMedia-Qatar has joined forces with IT Governance, a UK-based authority on the standard, to run a three-day course that will show senior and mid-level managers how to implement the standard efficiently and effectively. The masterclass is to be run from May 28-30 at the Millennium Hotel, Doha, and bookings may be made with MicroMedia-Qatar.
Compliance with ISO 27001 is becoming ever more vital for companies all over the world as pressure grows to ensure data security and prove to customers, regulators and investors that data and information assets are protected.
The 'ISO 27001 Implementation Masterclass' is an intensive course that provides delegates with the knowledge to fully implement ISO 27001 within their own organisation. The course is expected to be of value to organisations in banking, oil and gas and other industries and is intended both for IT directors and CIOs wishing to oversee ISO 27001 compliance, and for project managers and others more directly involved in implementing information security.
The masterclass covers the entire implementation process, including project scoping, risk assessments, documentation, management review and preparation for a successful certification audit. The course, which has been in great demand in the United Kingdom, will be led by information security guru Steve Watkins.
