LONDON, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Russian Urals prices were steady on Tuesday while Black Sea grade Kazakh CPC Blend was set to go to northern Poland as high North Sea prices and cheap freight rates opened an arbitrage opportunity.

In the Platts window, Total withdrew an offer for Urals at dated Brent minus 40 cents cif Augusta loading Feb 23-27.

The March Northwest Europe swap was bid at dated Brent minus $1.90 and offered at dated Brent minus $1.60 while the March Mediterranean swap was in a bid/offer range of minus $1.40 to minus $1.25 a barrel.

In an unusual move, PKN Orlen bought a cargo of Kazakh CPC Blend for its Gdansk refinery in northern Poland, several traders said.

The refiner does sometimes buy the grade for its southern refining interests, bringing it through Italy, but taking the cargo all the way north is considered rare.

"The arbitrage is easily open with cheaper freight rates," one trader said.

Several traders pegged CPC Blend at around dated Brent plus 10-15 cents owing to still ample supplies towards end February and upcoming maintenance.
