Damascus - The first private local aerial transport company, Lu'lua (Pearl) Airlines, plans to dispatch its first flights on May 1st, with the first two planes set to arrive to Damascus International Airport on April 29th.
Two British-made BAe-146-300 airplanes have been rented, each with a capacity of 96 passengers. They will begin internal flights at the rate of three trips per day from Damascus to Aleppo and two daily trips from Damascus to Deir el-Zor, in addition to two daily trips from Damascus to al-Qamishli and two weekly trips from Damascus to Lattakia.
The company places priority for developing its fleet in short period and provide distinguished services to its passengers, in addition to announcing regional and international destinations for its trips in the future.
The company was established by Sham Holdings, the Syrian Arab Airlines, and Arab shareholders according to decree number 5 issued on March 25th 2008.
