Muscat - Lulu Hypermarket is all set to unveil its 106th store in the region for the people of Ibri. Spread over an area of 150,000 sq feet, Lulu Ibri is geared to meet the needs of residents of this town and adjacent locations with an offering of high quality products and services at the most competitive prices in its signature shopping environment. The store will open its doors for shoppers from 1pm on July 27.
Commenting on its latest store, Yusuffali MA, managing director, Emke/Lulu Group, said, "With more than a decade's presence in the sultanate, opening another store is indeed a moment of great pride and joy. We have earned the reputation of providing all our customers with a unparalleled and world class shopping experience. It is our endeavour to open more Lulu stores across Oman, especially the interior regions as we want every customer of ours in Oman to experience a shopping experience at close proximity without driving long distances."
Apart from giving the people of Ibri a new shopping destination that will house a wide range of products that include more than 45,000 different varieties, the hypermarket will also boost the local economy with the employment opportunities that it will create directly and indirectly.
Lulu has always emphasised the need to give back to the community it works in and focuses on creating a local talent pool. Lulu is a supporter of the Omanisation policy and as with every store of theirs, the staff has undergone segment specific training that arms them with skills. The employees will continue to get excellent guidance to create an effective career progression path. Lulu strongly believes in recruiting from within the system thus creating lots of opportunities for employees to grow within the organization. The efficient supply chain and logistics team of Lulu works closely with local suppliers and businessmen helping them further develop the local economy as well as the community.
"By utilising local resources, we can regulate and monitor quality and delivery times more thoroughly. Another advantage is the reduction of overhead costs which results in savings for our customers as well our local suppliers", said a member of the management team. When the region's economic outlook looked gloomy and most of the businesses froze expansion plans, the Lulu Group surged ahead and crossed 100 stores in the region.
Lulu Hypermarket was recently ranked by the UK based Planet Retail as the number one hypermarket chain in the Middle East. Lulu's increasing popularity is due to their rather innovative and distinctive promotions that enable their customers to get the maximum value possible. From exclusive product launches, unbelievable deals, heavy discounts, thrilling competitions to winning luxury vehicles, Lulu customers have experienced it all.
