'Powerful crossover'

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: Yusuf A. Alghanim & Sons Sunday, April 3, unveiled the new highly anticipated 2011 Chevrolet Captiva compact crossover at the Al Rai Safat Alghanim showroom.

Available in three trims -- LS, LT and LTZ, and two and all wheel drive configurations, the new 2011 Chevrolet Captiva combines a fresh exterior design to give it an even more confident and dynamic presence with an all-new powerful and efficient engine line-up and a upgraded, comfortable interior to provide customers with the ultimate level performance and functionality.

The 2011 Chevrolet Captiva is available with 2 new powerful engines; a 2.4L, 4 Cylinder, VVT engine generating 169 hp and a 3.0L, V6. VVT, Direct Injection engine generating an impressive 264 hp, makes Captiva one of the most powerful crossovers in the market. Both engines are mated to a new 6-speed automatic transmission to give customers a smooth, purposeful and efficient drive experience.

Addressing the press and the company officials, representatives from General Motors, leading media personnel and customers of Yusuf A. Alghanim & Sons, Abdallah Mouazzen, General Sales Manager, Automotive Operations at the Yusuf A. Alghanim & Sons said the new Chevrolet Captiva sports an athletic stance and projects a more dynamic presence with a re-shaped and sharply sculptured hood, a new larger dual port grille, new prism style headlamps and side air-vents that take on a more angular shape to emphasize the new Captiva's sportiness.

"The stunning appearance of the Captiva," he added, "is completed with front fog lamps, standard integrated turn signals on the outside rearview mirrors and standard 17" and 19" wheels."

Climb aboard the new Chevrolet Captiva and driver and passengers will still be welcomed by a spacious interior, with storage space that is among the best in class, and with the option of either 5 or 7 seats, he added.

The Captiva's new and upgraded interior features an array of new finishes and textures including all-new seat fabrics and interior décor appointments, giving the Captiva an upscale look and feel, he said.

He added, advanced technology has also been integrated into the Captiva's interior with standard cruise control, steering wheels controls, Bluetooth, and CD/MP3 player with AUX input.

As with all Chevrolet vehicles, the 2011 Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with an array of standard safety features including dual airbags, ABS, and rear sensors to offer all-around protection.

Among this group of cars Chevrolet Captiva since its launch in 2007 has proved its superiority and its ability to compete in the special category of medium-sized Crossover vehicles.
