CAIRO, May 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ahmad Khalid Al-Kulaib praised his country's role in spreading Arab and international culture in the Arab world.

On the sidelines of a seminar on the Kuwaiti-Egyptian cultural relations held Wednesday evening by the Kuwaiti Information Office here, Al-Kulaib stressed the importance of culture in strengthening relations among Arab countries and the significance of holding cultural seminars and activities.

Meanwhile, cultural advisor at Kuwait Embassy in Egypt Dr. Abdulaziz Safar emphasized the depth of Kuwaiti-Egyptian cultural relations, pointing out that Egyptian intellectuals and scholars contributed to the development of Kuwait.

Kuwaiti writer Sulaiman Al-Hezami said Kuwaiti cultural and scientific publications played a great role in spreading awareness in the Arab world and encouraging translation.

The 50th anniversary of Kuwait's renowned Al-Arabi Kuwaiti magazine will be celebrated next year, he added.

Literature researcher Dr. Mohammad Hassan Abdullah said Kuwait's special cultural and scientific status was reflected in the activities of Kuwait University's society service centers and in its publications.
