MASHHAD -- Iran's first international market of carpet and kilim will be held in Dorud, located near the historic northwestern city of Neishabur, on June 25. The exhibition will be running for a week, Mohammad-Ali Aghili, the managing director of Trade Promotion Complex of Eastern Iran (TPCEI) said on Sunday.

Sponsored by the TPCEI and governorship of Neishabur, the market will showcase the carpets and kilims woven by the Iranian villagers, he added.

Also, a scientific symposium on design of carpets and kilims will be held during the exhibition, he noted.
