Italy, Mar 25th, 2013 (WAM) -- Kalimat, the Sharjah based award winning publisher of Arabic children?s books, is participating at the Bologna Children?s Book Fair, taking place from 25-28 March, 2013 in Bologna, Italy.
Kalimat is one of five publishing houses selected from Asia, and is the only publisher to be nominated from the Arab world. The prize was initiated to recognise those publishers who are at the forefront of innovation and to acknowledge the creative nature of the editorial choices they made during the previous year. Commenting on Kalimat?s participation and the honour of being nominated, Tamer Said, Business Development Manager at Kalimat Publishing House, said: "The Bologna Children's Book Fair plays a crucial role in the international children?s publishing arena as a platform for intra-industry exchange and collaboration and we are extremely excited to be participating in the event once again. Bologna Children?s Book Fair, is well known as the world's leading children's publishing and multimedia products event, and will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year 2013. During last year, Bologna Children?s Book Fair attracted approximately 1,200 exhibitors from 66 countries and 5,000 international professional trade representatives. The fair brings together publishers, authors, illustrators, literary agents, distributors, printers, and booksellers; which assists in establishing new contacts, strengthening professional relationships and developing new business opportunities. This year, Bologna book fair serves as a platform for Kalimat to establish its presence as a prominent publisher of Arabic children's books.
