A top Moamer Kadhafi aide sought on a criminal arrest warrant has turned up in Senegal, Dakar's RFM radio reported on Thursday (May 9th). Bashir Saleh reportedly passed through Mali on his way to Senegal.

His whereabouts had been unknown until last week, when ex-French president Nicolas Sarkozy told French BFMTV, "Bashir Saleh is in France under his own identity. We are working hand in hand with the Libyan authorities, and if Mr Saleh is wanted by Interpol he will be delivered to Interpol."

Saleh, who ran a Libyan sovereign wealth fund, was captured after the liberation of Tripoli but later escaped. Libya issued an international arrest warrant against Saleh for financial crimes.
