Amman: Jordan Thursday evening took part in a ceremony marking the official launching of the Manama, Capital of Arab Culture 2012.
The celebration was attended by Bahraini Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifah.
The Jordanian delegation to the ceremony comprised Minister of Culture Salah Jarrar, Jordan's Ambassador to Bahrain Muhammad Seraj, and Director of Cultural Commissions at the Ministry of Culture Ghassan Tanash.
The ceremony included a number of cultural activities, Bahraini folk songs and poems. A number of cultural activities will be organized during 2012 in Manama including fairs, conferences and cultural shows.
