AMMAN (JT) - Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Information Technology Association (int@j) to implement the JEA-branded Export Training and Coaching Programme (ECP); targeting the leading, national ICT companies. According to a JEA press statement, the ECP will enhance the export competitiveness landscape of Jordanian enterprises, improving their performance sustainability.

The MoU, signed by JEA Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Halim Abu Rahmeh; and int@j Chief Executive OfficerAbed Shamlawi, officiates the pioneer programme to strengthen export supply capabilities across relevant industries and services. Abu Rahmeh said: "This unique programme will not only build company export capabilities, but also assist in institutionalising the export process of Jordan's IT sector. The ECP aims to change styles in administrative management, industrial policy execution and sales practices." Abu Rahmeh added that the programme was designed to understand the market and its customers, allowing salient export marketing strategy development for each Jordanian institution. Shamlawi, said: "The programme's impact will usher in new software market and development opportunities, enhancing the ongoing IT sector-growth which, in 2007, commanded approximately $200 million of the total IT export revenue."
