BAGHDAD: Iraqi Cabinet decided to review it is decision on cancelling the food ration card, which was faced with political and popular objections.

Spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh, in a breaking news on semi-official Iraqiya TV, said that an extraordinary meeting was held on the subject.

The decision was faced by rejection stands from different political circles, including those participating in the present government.

Sadrist leader expressed his astonishment of the decision and apology for the Iraqi people on behalf of his people in the Iraqi Cabinet.

Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi warned against the decision and announced that the ministers of finance and trade shall be hosted to discuss the matter publically.

Clergyman Mohammed al-Yaqoubi submitted five proposals for the decision, but expressed doubts on paying the 15.000 Iraqi dinars to each of the Iraqi people.

Leading Clergyman Ali Sistani called for reviewing the decision and warned of its effect on the living standards of the people.
