BGP won a tender for Amak project early this year which is being carried out in cooperation with the OEOC.
Director of China's national petroleum company's (BGP) exploration department has said that the company has set up its best and most well-equipped seismography camp in Iran for the Amak project, shana.ir reported.
Chen Ming noted that the company was established about 40 years ago and has launched international activities since 15 years ago and currently ranks first in the world with 96 seismography teams.
"At present, 38 seismography teams are working in 22 countries," he said.
Ming noted that the company established its Iran office in 1997 and carried out its first 3-D seismography project in Iran on Khangiran.
The company won a tender for Amak project early this year which is being carried out in cooperation with the Iranian Oil Exploration Operations Company (OEOC).
The project focuses on three objectives, the first one is to avoid burning off 241 million cubic feet of associated sour gases in Bangestan oil layer and oil reserves in Ahvaz, Abteimour, Mansouri, Kupal and Maroun in Khuzestan province.
The second one is processing sweet gas for production of 27,800 barrels per day of gas liquids to feet Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex, and 182 million cubic feet per day of light sweet gas for household and industrial purposes.
The last goal is adding 500 barrels per day of crude and producing 180 tons of sulfur for exports.
