Interior Minister Hussein Majali met separately in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh with his Lebanese, Omani and Yemeni counterparts on the sidelines of the 31st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, which concluded in Marrakesh yesterday.

During a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Nihad Al Mashnouq, the two sides reviewed ways to forge closer ties between the two countries and the latest developments in the region, mainly the crisis in Syria and its repercussions on the region.

Majali and his Lebanese counterpart called for boosting cooperation between the two countries and exchanging expertise in the field of security.

The minister also discussed with the Omani Interior Minister, Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, means to boost joint cooperation through supporting economic and security partnership between the two countries.

Majali voiced Jordan's readiness to provide Oman with expertise in various domains.

The interior minister also reviewed with the Yemeni Interior Minister Abdo Hussein Eltareb possibilities of holding training courses for Yemeni security and civil defence personnel in Jordan for one year.

Talks also covered various aspects of efforts to cement the relations, mainly in the fight against crime, terrorism and drugs.
