Abu Dhabi, Apr 16th, 2010 (WAM) -- The Emirates Heritage Club will launch the annual 'Thurayya Heritage Forum' 2010 at the Al-Samaliya Island on Saturday.
The forum under the theme 'Our National Heritage: A lighthouse in the way of human heritage' is being organised under the patronage of President's Representative and Chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Over 310 girls and boys, who have been registered with the centres run by the Club, will participate in various events of the forum. These include heritage competitions and folklore programmes. The event will be held on the occasion of celebrations marking World Heritage Day, which begins Sunday. The forum aims to instill the spirit of citizenship among young people and consolidate the values of adherence to customs, traditions, national heritage and identity.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2010.
