Muscat- One of the oldest landmarks in the city, Golden Tulip Seeb, will be pulling the curtains down on its operations after serving guests for over three decades on Wednesday.

The hotel will be demolished, giving way to a modern mixed-use property and a new hotel.

Established in 1984, the hotel featuring 177 rooms including six suites, has been the prominent landmark in Seeb for over three decades.

Oman Aviation Group (OAG) had issued a tender for demolition work of the hotel in February. OAG had revealed last year that the plan was to build its headquarters along with supporting facilities at the site.
