GlassPoint Innovation Spur, a new programme that targets Omani innovators was officially launched at InterContinental Muscat on Monday.

The programme is meant for Omani inventors looking to turn their inventions into implementable businesses in renewable energy and water management sectors. The programme is the first corporate social responsibility initiative of GlassPoint Solar, a leading supplier of solar energy to the oil and gas industry.

Held under the patronage of H E Eng Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the programme is now accepting applications on www.glasspointinnovationspur.com from innovators. Applications will be accepted till June 30.

With a trusted list of partners including The Research Council (TRC), Innovation Park Muscat (IPM), Riyada and Sharakah, this first-of-its-kind incubator is set to contribute and sustainably drive innovation within Oman’s renewable energy and water management sectors.

GlassPoint will be touring universities across the sultanate to share more details on the programme over the coming weeks.
