Gift packages give fans chance to test drive cars at Bahrain circuit

Sakhir, Bahrain: The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has opened its doors for motor sport fans.

Fans can personally experience the thrills of this sport at the huge BIC, which is located outside Manama.

The BIC has introduced gift packages ranging from $93 to $239 to enjoy various driving experiences. These packages can be purchased for friends and family.

"We have introduced three special packages in red, yellow and grey colours. These packages give the fans an opportunity to embark into the thrilling adventures in test driving the circuit's different types of cars such as the Caterham, Hummer 4x4 car, the Chevrolet skid car and the Quad bike," announced Shaikh Salman Bin Issa Al Khalifa, Director of Governmental Affairs and Public Relations at a press conference held at the BIC.

Obstacles

Elaborating on the programme, Shaikh Salman said: The red pack will allow one to drive the Hummer 4x4 on a dramatic 4x4 course built in a specially designed desert landscape inside the BIC. We have 30 natural and man made obstacles and it is sure to be an exciting experience." The red package will also permit one to test the Caterham and also drive the Chevrolet Skid Car.

"The skid car is designed for anyone who wants to experience the thrill of a his or her car sliding out of control. By driving this car one can learn to control the vehicle in the event of a skid. It will guarantee that the participant will become a safe driver," revealed Steven Umfreville, the Commercial Director of the BIC.

The yellow package will offer the opportunity to drive Quad Bikes and the grey package will allow their cars to be brought and test its power.
