Beirut (APD) - The U.S.-based GeoLogistics Corporation, a subsidiary of the Kuwait-based PWC Logistics, a global provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions, has been named by Cadbury Schweppes as their ocean export freight services provider for the company's Americas region, a company statement said last week.

GeoLogistics was selected for shipment of both ingredients and finished products within the region and exported from the Americas.

Cadbury Schweppes, based in Birmingham, England, is a large beverage and confectionery company, with such other icon brands as Adams Candy, Canada Dry, Dr Pepper, Mott's, Certs, Dentyne, Trident, Snapple and Seven Up.

The agreement focuses heavily on Full-Container Load ocean shipments and makes GeoLogistics responsible for managing all transport and custom clearance requirements, door-to-door from supplier to plants, warehouses and distribution centers, the statement said.

The agreement also covers multiple North, Central and South America trade lanes linked to, among others, Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, New York and Toronto.  Cadbury Schweppes' major South America facilities are located in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. [FC]
