MUSCAT -- A two-day workshop on "Project Management" was conducted by Galfar Engineering and Contracting for its senior engineers and project managers recently at Hotel Golden Tulip, Seeb. The workshop was organised by M/s Candid Consultants Private Limited, an end-to-end HR consulting company, based in Pune, India. The team of speakers was a blend of academicians from the Indian Institute of Science and project management experts from private sectors. The workshop was custom-built for Galfar considering its modern day requirement of project management and aimed at improving the productivity, efficiency and professionalism in project management to cope with the present economic scenario.
Srijit Nair of Candid, along with Dr T G Sitaram, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering and Dr Parmeshwar Iyer, Professor, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore called on the Indian Ambassador, Anil Wadhwa, and apprised him of the enormous availability of excellent facilities and resources at IISc and other Indian institutes and sought his guidance in associating with educational institutions and industry in Oman, in the area of knowledge transfer.
