BAGHDAD / NINA / French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Odrian said on Wednesday that "his country would send more warplanes to participate in the international military campaign against the IS in Iraq.
He said in a statement today that "his country will send six fighter jets of the type / Mirage / to add to the six aircraft from French fighter / Rafale / to enhance air operations against the organization.
Odrian added that the Headquarters of / Mirage / aircraft will be in Jordan and their task will focus on bombing the IS sites in northern Iraq only.
France is an active member in the international coalition that is fighting the IS organization led by the United States of America.
