Tentative business negotiations of around USD 350 million have been made on the stalls at the Karachi Expo Centre between international buyers and Pakistani companies and manufacturers, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) said in a press release, a copy of which was obtained by KUNA.

TDAP mentioned that on the invitations of Pakistani exhibitors, various international delegates have visited the factories located in the cities of Lahore, Sialkot, and Faisalabad to further finalize the deals after inspecting the quality of production.

Also, Pakistani exporters held follow up meetings with the international buyers during the last three days and it is likely that this whole business interaction would generate another USD 300 million, said the Pakistani organization.

In addition, it pointed out that business deals are still in progress as around 50 international buyers have gone to Lahore for finalization of deals. A third figure is due to be estimated today, which is the conclusion of Expo Pakistan 2012.

Furthermore, around 1,912 business meetings were held between the international buyers and Pakistani exhibitors and manufacturers during the first three days of the expo, TDAP indicated, adding that international buyers have also made 1,648 visits to different products stalls at the Karachi Expo Centre.

During the past three days, over 710 international business representatives from around 70 countries have visited this year's exhibition so far, where Pakistani Minister of Commerce Makhdoom Amin Faheem met with high level delegations from India and Nigeria, noted TDAP.

Also, it added that Tahir Raza Naqvi, chief executive of TDAP, along with Abdul Kabir Kazi, secretary of TDAP, had meetings with delegations from Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Hong Kong, Russia, France, South Africa, Japan, Brazil, Afghanistan, Korea, and China.

Expo Pakistan is considered the country's biggest international trade fair, displaying a collection of Pakistan's finest export merchandise and services, as well as providing international exhibitors an opportunity to showcase and launch their products.
