Cairo – The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) signed a contract with an alliance comprising of Energya Power & Telecom Solutions, Xian Electric Engineering Co, and XD-EGEMAC.
The contract includes the construction of a 220/66/11 kilovolt (kv) gas insulated substation (GIS) to meet the growing demand for electricity in the governorate of Beheira, the company’s Chairman, Sabah Mashaly, said in a statement on Thursday.
The EGP 250 million agreement will be financed from the resources of the EETC and the Arab Company for Projects and Urban Development.
The project will be implemented over a period of 12 months starting from the date of signing the deal.
