Cairo – Egypt is implementing the third phase of the national roads project at a cost of EG 35 billion.

The third phase includes 17 projects at a total length of 1,300 kilometres (km), the minister of transport, Kamel El-Wazir, said in a statement on Sunday.

The projects include the development and expansion of the first phase of Cairo-Aswan western desert road, Assiut-Sohag road expansion, and Safaga-Marsa Allam road expansion.
