Binding the way
"Ready mix concrete is a major contributor to Conmix's turnover and the company has five concrete plants set up in Dubai, Jebel Ali, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ajman", says Chris Lobel, General Manager - Ready Mix Concrete division of the company. Conmix's current production estimates approximately 4,000 cubic metres per day, aided by a fleet of 125 truck mixers and 21 concrete pumps that bind the way for Conmix.
"The production is done from seven state-of-the-art computerised plants with water chillers, Flake Ice plants and separate silos for GGBS and Microsilica, thus ensuring production for a high performance concrete with respect to durability and strength."
Balancing ratio
Ready mix concrete in the Northern Emirates is at present nearing a balance between demand and supply and Conmix is looking to expand operations in Abu Dhabi. Speaking on the challenges to keep up with demand in the market, Lobel reinforces that "Quality and Service is the surest way to emerge high in a competitive market like the UAE".
