New technologies like cloud computing, social networking and big data solutions are changing the ways of doing business, the vice president of Gulf states and cluster and technology leader of Oracle said.
Speaking at the Oracle Day event at Grand Hyatt Muscat on Sunday, Fadi AbdulKhalek said that the company is trying to take leading enterprise technologies to its partners for ease of conducting business.
"The objective of Oracle Day is to give decision-makers the information and insight to help them embrace new technologies. Customer experience is very important for us.
"The latest product and service offerings from Oracle include customer-experience solutions that will harness the power of the social network as well as internal resources, thus maximising customer retention, improving operational efficiency and accelerating new customer acquisition."
The event, themed 'Your Vision, Engineered,' featured a selection of announcements and interactive educational sessions from Oracle OpenWorld, one of the most important technology events on the Oracle calendar. It also included expert sessions and live demonstrations of new products.
AbdulKhalek said that the company is trying to cover a wide range of flash-based storage solutions which would be ideal for customers with large volumes of data.
"The company has introduced Oracle Exalogic X3 Elastic Cloud, a middleware support system with more processor cores, more memory, more flash, better performance, and better consolidation than its previous versions," he added.
