BANJA LUKA, Bosnia, April 8 (Reuters) - A Bosnia-Macedonia consortium made the lowest bid to build a section of motorway in northern Bosnia estimated to cost about 200 million euros ($260.44 million), a regional motorway company said.
The 35.3 kilometre highway connecting the city of Banja Luka with the town of Prnjavor is part of a 75 kilometre road linking Banja Luka with the Bosnian section of the pan-European highway, Corridor VC.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has agreed to finance the project.
Bosnia's Integral Inzenjering and Macedonia's Granit offered 158 million euros, followed by Chinese Sinohydro Corp.
Turkey's Dogus Insaat offered 191 million euros, a consortium of Czech and Spanish firms OHL ZS and OHL SA bid 199 million euros, and Austria's Strabag
The highest bid was placed by Greek company Aktor Technical Societe Anonyme at 256 million euros, the company said.
All financial offers will be analysed in detail and a complete report forwarded to the EIB for approval, the Autoputevi RS said, adding that talks on a loan arrangement with the EIB were expected to be completed soon.
