Bengal Sweets, which offers traditional sweets of different countries, opened its second branch in Bahrain last night.

With the launch at Al Jazira Supermarket in Zinj, the outlet is venturing into partnerships with other supermarkets and hypermarkets in the country and the wider region including the UAE and Saudi Arabia in the coming days.

Founded by Mayeen Ahsan last year, the business has its first outlet in Manama.

The formal opening was attended by Mr Ahsan and senior management of Al Jazira including chairman Abdul Hussein Khalil Dawani, directors Abdul Hameed Dawani, Ahmed Redha Murtadha Dawani, Sadiq Khalil Dawani, group general manager Ujjal Mukherjee and country head Keith Dias.

From Indian rasagollas, jaggery sweets to various internationally popular delights of other countries, Bengal Sweets boasts of confectionery items made with special quality control measures in place.
