   LEVALLOIS PERRET, France--(Business Wire)--Regulatory News: A contract worth over 100 millionAlstom (Paris:ALO) Thermal Power, Alstom`s division in charge of thermal powergeneration equipment and services, has signed a contract worth over 100million1 with Arabian Bemco Contracting Co. & GS E&C to provide the steam tailfor the Riyadh PP12 gas-fired power plant being constructed by them for theSaudi Electric Company (SEC). The Riyadh PP12 plant is located 100 km west of the Saudi capital. Oncecompleted, the plant will produce a net output of 2,175 MW at high temperatureswith high efficiency. The plant utilises exhaust gases from the gas turbines togenerate steam and run the steam turbines, maximising the fuel utilisation witha highly efficient combined cycle design. The power plant is scheduled to entercommercial operation by 2015, in order to meet the increased demand expected inthe central region. This contract includes the supply of two 342 MW steam-turbine generator sets andeight Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) for the power plant. This isAlstom`s first steam tail offering for the Saudi Arabia market and the equipmentis being offered in a novel integrated package which will augment power outputfrom the plant by an additional 4 MW.
