A kaleidoscope of activities is planned for Al Muraqqabat Street, as part of the tenth Dubai Shopping Festival.
"True to our message of 'One World, One Family, One Festival,' we have ensured the activities at Al Muraqqabat Street are enjoyable by the whole family. We have tried our best to offer leisure activities for all ages," said Jasem Al Awady, head of Al Muraqqabat Street Committee, Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
From January 12 to February 12, the public will have a chance to enjoyed a multitude of competitions, amusements, electronic games and parades as well as a food fair.
The Sports Zone, one of the major attractions in the street, will be turned into a hub of exciting competitions starting January 12.
The Extreme Cars Show is another sure crowd pleaser. Rare, tuned up, vintage and exceptional cars will be paraded at this event. Experts will also disclose driving tips.
Spectators will have an opportunity to compete in the fast and furious world of remote control car racing at the Remote Control Car Show and Competition.
Five fabulous cars, run by kerosene and operated with remote controls, will wow participants. In addition, an exhibition of the remote controlled cars will be held each day.
The Luxury Cars Parade will bring eight exquisite limousine cars with uniform interiors to Al Muraqqabat. What makes these limos special? For one thing, they have never been seen in public before.
At the Yamaha Academy (Bike Zone), sponsored by Yousef Habeeb Al Yousef, spectators can watch daredevil feats on two wheels. The event will also include bike riding demonstrations. Appropriate safety equipment and instruction qualified and experienced trainers will be provided.
The Fun Fair Area, with its assortment of rides and games, is being constructed for the pleasure of the whole family. Younger visitors will enjoy the Kids Play Zone.
