Abu Dhabi –  Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has invited companies to bid for a contract to replace flare headers that currently covers four trains on Zirku oil processing island.

The UAE energy giant may commence the project in September, according to MEED magazine.

Zirku houses four units to process oil produced in Upper Zakum offshore oil field, and a fifth unit is underway to increase processing capacity to 750,000 barrels per day (bpd).

The Emirati Island also comprises three flare headers.
