The Fund’s investment objective is to provide a high level of current income exempt from federal income tax. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by normally investing at least 80% of its total assets (including proceeds from the issuance of any preferred stock and the proceeds of any borrowings for investment purposes) in securities of municipal issuers that provide interest income that is exempt from federal income tax; however, the Fund may invest without limit in municipal securities the interest on which may be an item of tax preference for purposes of the federal alternative minimum tax The Fund may invest in all types of municipal bonds, including general obligation bonds, revenue bonds and pre-refunded bonds. The Fund's investment manager is Neuberger Berman Investment Advisers LLC.
