Amman, Feb. 21, 2011: RJ president/CEO Hussein Dabbas stressed that the airline is continuing its operations between Amman and Tripoli, Libya, to transport Jordanians who wish to return to the Kingdom in light of the exceptional prevalent conditions and instability in Libya.
Dabbas said that today RJ will operate the wide-bodied, 285-seat Airbus A330 in order to carry the largest number of passengers to the Kingdom. He also noted that the RJ employees working at Tripoli airport are doing thir utmost in cooperation with the Jordanian Embassy in Libya to facilitate the return of Jordanians to the Kingdom as soon as possible.
The mentioned flight takes off from Amman today at 13:00 PM and departs from Tripoli at 18:00 PM (Libya time) and arrives in Amman at 21:20 PM.
The RJ president said that airline will continue its service to Tripoli in the coming days, in coordination with the airport authorities and the Jordanian embassy, whereas the RJ flights between Amman and Benghazi are suspended since last Friday due to the airport closure.
Dabbas underscored the airline's preparedness to operate flights to Benghazi airport as soon as it reopens.
According to the weekly flight schedule, RJ operates five flights to Tripoli and two to Benghazi.
