ABU DHABI, May 21st, 2013 (WAM)-- The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Experts, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two parties.

The MoU was signed by the Director General of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri and the Board Chairman of the Emirates Association for Lawyers, Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi.

Signed at the Zayed Foundation's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the MoU aims to consolidate joint strategic cooperation between the two parties to achieve institutional integrity and upgrade legal work in line with local and federal strategies. The deal calls for the exchange of practical experiences and the holding of joint workshops and meetings.

Al Dhahiri said that on the directives of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Foundation seeks to expand cooperation ties with foundations and agencies nationwide.

He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) in a statement that the Foundation was developing its charity and humanitarian programmes to include all categories that need assistance in line with the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

For his part, Al Shamsi expressed the interest of the Association in engaging the Zayed Foundation to establish fruitful cooperation, noting that the MoU aims to aid participation in preparing draft laws related to the work of the two parties and enable them to benefit from electronic data.
