Capital Club to host award winning journalist and author of City of Gold - Dubai and the Dream of Capitalism'
Capital Club, the region's premier private business club and a member of the ENSHAA group of companies, will be welcoming award-winning journalist and author Jim Krane, for an exclusive tete-a-tete with broadcaster Tariq Qureishi on Monday 29th November 2010.
Krane is the author of 'City of Gold - Dubai and the Dream of Capitalism', a controversial account of the Emirate's rise to global prominence in which he charts the history of Dubai from its earliest days and looks at the effect of the global economic downturn on the Emirate. Krane's book also reveals the story behind the futuristic strategies adopted by the rulers and government in their pursuit towards globalizing Dubai.
Speaking on the event, Capital Club CEO, Russell Matcham said: "The Capital Club is proud to be associated with events such as this, and we are very happy to welcome Mr. Krane. The event promises to be particularly insightful as he will not only share his insights on the region and what he has learned from his research, but also what inspired him to write 'City of Gold - Dubai and the Dream of Capitalism'.
