25 February 2015, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Yahsat, the UAE-based multipurpose satellite provider, has signed a contract with the Bahrain Defence Force to provide comprehensive satellite communications support.

Under the terms of the contract, Yahsat will provide multi-faceted customized services, including hardware, full beam coverage over the Ka-band and training in the use of the technology. The Bahrain Defence Force will take delivery later this year.

Brigadier Mohammed Qatami Al-Kubaisi, Director of Information and Moral Guidance, Bahrain Defence Force, said: "This contract reflects the longstanding and deep partnership between Bahrain and the UAE.
