VIVA Enhances Network with Fiber Infrastructure Deployment
KUWAIT: In a step towards the provision of cutting-edge solutions to subscribers, Kuwait Telecommunications Company, VIVA, announced the launch of the initial phase of its optical infrastructure development project, which involves deploying multifiber optical cables.
Salman Al Badran, VIVA's CEO, confirmed that key VIVA locations and communication towers have already been interconnected, allowing the company to deliver fast internet connectivity and high quality voice services. These high speeds, he added, paved the way for 4G deployment in the future.
As part of its overall development strategy, Al Badran added, VIVA has already began preparations for the project's second phase, which includes further deployment of of optical fiber network. This will further enhance the company's ability to provide high-speed connectivity services and quality internet products to all of its subscribers.
Al Badran finished off by thanking the Ministry of Communications for the support it continues to show towards the development of Kuwait's telecommunication infrastructure, which has meant a rapid development of the industry and improved services to end users.
